It is used for the treatment of muscular fever, facial flush,severe thirst with desire for drinking, mental lassitude and fatigue, full and large and feeble pulse caused by floating yang going outwards due to qi weakness and blood deficiency,and internal injury by overstrain. Also for women'puerperal fever and headache due to blood deficiency, and unhealing of ulcer.

Dang Gui, the principal of the drugs of the recipe, enriches the blood and adjusts the flow of blood, regulates menstruation and alleviates pain, Huang Qi, with sweet flavorand warm nature, invigorates qi, serving as the souce of the blood, therefor this medicine is mainly used for irregulat mentsruation caused by deficiency of qi and blood.
